New Dynamic Corners for the Old Container (“Dynamo Corners”)

I went and did it, I got dynamic corners put on the rig. This is a 1994 Javelin container, and she’s had a wild ride with the old tray, now she got an upgrade.

We will be calling them “Dynamo Corners” though, because it sounds way cooler.

A picture worth a thousand words, and since no one will read a thousand words, here’s a picture:

For comparison, here is a container without Dynamo Corners

As you can see from the pictures, Dynamo Corners allow the container to lay flat when it is open. This feature lets the D-bag extract more cleanly from the container on deployment. For wingsuiting, this is a beneficial upgrade.

Wingsuit deployments typically don’t come straight up from your back because you are moving forward. The D-bag can snag on the corner of the container, causing it to spin slightly. A spinning D-bag can cause off-heading openings and line twists.

After being a skeptic for a few years, I am now sold on the idea. I can say confidently, I have better, more consistent, and on-heading openings.

Lelo (“lay-low”) at Ground Rush Rigging Loft was able to install these corners within a few days for a very reasonable price. His craftsmanship is top-notch. The Dynamo Corners look great, work great, and are just damn cool! Thank you Lelo!!

Go see Lelo + Get Dynamo Corners = Happiness.
